This year, the annual 1001 Ideas Festival of CHILL in the heart of Heerlen, on Thursday, Oct. 2!
The theme: "Circular and modular homes - the home of the future".
We will start the day at the Woonboulevard, where you will be introduced to the CUBE Home: a demountable house whose materials can all be recovered and reused after use. The CUBE Home is part of a project in which technological innovations are being developed into market-ready building innovations. A great example of circular building in practice.
Later in the day, we move to the former DSM-Firmenich office, which will soon be transformed into a modern, sustainable residential and living environment. Living Limburg, the new owner, shows how they are redeveloping this iconic building into future-proof housing.
Inspired by these two examples, we next turn to work on your own with real (technical) practical challenges - so-called challenges - nominated by companies in the industry.
