By missing the economic opportunities offered by circular production, the risk arises that the innovative Meuse-Rhine automotive production infrastructure will largely move to other regions in Europe and the world on the longer term.<\/p>\n<p>CYPRESS aims to stimulate automotive SMEs to making the transition to a fully circular life-cycle, from production design to the assembly processes and ultimately developing products with a small carbon footprint. Setting up a strong and locally embedded network for circular innovation is an essential part of the project.<\/p>\n<p>The project will on the one hand have a positive impact on the ecologic footprint, and on the other contribute to the long-term sustainability of the regional production industry.
